1year working visa

Hi, my best friend is looking to come to Canada on a 1 year working visa, it looks like its going to be open this month so that she can apply, but once it is granted she needs to save her pennies so that she has enough money to live whilst she looks for a job!! She had planned a 2 week holiday to come and see me in June, but if her visa was granted, would her 1 year automatically start in June?? She would be returning to England after the two weeks, with the view that she would come at Christmas to tart her actual 1 year working Visa... Can you tell me if that's possible, or will she need to cancel her holiday? Thanks

Let me put this another way... If she has revived her 'letter of introduction' so in theory she now has 12 months to enter Canada, but comes on holiday but doesnt show the letter to the canadian border officers, basically enters the country like any other normal tourist, is that ok? Then at Christmas when she comes to start her year here, show the letter and her bank tatement to get her working permit???? Would that work??
