Hi guys, as I just turned 18 last year, I'm wondering if I should declare "No and No" for "Filed taxes" and "Require to file" for years before 2022 since I was under 18 by then and did not earn any income. As on the application, it is stated that the tax return information will also be used to determine residency eligibility, I'm wondering whether only having filed one tax return will have any impact. Thanks!

Filing tax requirement has nothing to do with age, but with income only. If you made more than a certain amount, around 14 or 15k if I'm not mistaken, you have to file tax, and that's it.
Since you had no income while minor, no and no is perfectly fine and you're in compliance with the tax requirement for the citizenship application, and IRCC shouldn't raise an eyebrow if a student didn't make money (or enough money).

One should always file a return since you could be leaving benefits unclaimed , you are entitled too . The CRA only knows the persons tax situation when they file a return . It’s the self assessment system
