Go ahead if it is clear,

but i would recommend 300dpi

150 DPI enough to scan docs?

For color the standard is 300dpi, beyond that the file size becomes unacceptable/unmanageable, specially for the number of pages that generally goes into these supporting documentations.

Less than that may make it unclear, but if the scanner/original document clarity is good, you may try it and possibly squeeze in more pages per MB.
