I have been accepted into Mcmaster University and want to travel to canada in mid aug or early april. I wanted to know that do fully vaccinated students still need to be quarantined for 14 day?

No, Not required to, but you must present a suitable quarantine plan in case quarantine is required (e.g. you test positive on arrival, or officer does not accept your proof of vaccination).
