Hello all,

Congratulations for those of you who have already received the oath invitation.

A simple question here regarding the oath invitation:

- When the Oath Invitation Letter is received by regular mail, is eCas updated with the oath ceremony date as well?

I have passed my exam with my wife on the 3rd of September 2014, and we were told to expect oath ceremony between 4 to 8 weeks; till now nothing happened, and no news from CIC.

To share with you my timeline:
-Application received: February 10th 2014
-AOR & Study Material sent on: February 10th 2014
-Started Processing Application: March 17th 2014
-RQ Received: May 5th 2014
-RQ Documents Sent: June 5th 2014
-Citizenship Test & Interview: September 8th 2014 (both passed)

I have called CIC Call Center last week, where the officer informed me that the file is still under process, and that it might take up to two more years for the case to be finalized, since this is a routine case :-((((

I have also asked for the ATIP in December and did not receive it yet.

Would appreciate sharing with me your opinion and experience, especially those of you who had had RQ matter.

In the case of my spouse and a friend, eCas was updated with the oath date first and the letter received in the mail about 3 days later. More here:
