Okay but it still says that on the NOC list do you have a link for the ones that have been exempted and the new ones as well

pls does anyone know if the NOC 1241 IS ACCEPTED AS A CEC APPLICATIONS FOR PR
I got approved last year under NOC 1242, but my foreign experience was as NOC1241 (in fact put that as my primary occupation as I had more experience in it).

This is not accurate. There was a short-term temporary moratorium on some occupations, but that ended a long time ago.

If the occupation is classified as "skilled" (NOC O,A, or B), then the experience will "count." Just be sure the job duties match, this is one of those occupations that can be "downgraded" by a VO to a clerk-level position (unskilled, NOC level C - ineligible) if the duties don't really correspond....

You can fill a EE profile out and see what happens, after that the system will show under which category you're elegible if any.

About your NOC:
http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=136582&CVD=136586&CPV=1241&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4

Looks like is B level if occupations usually require college education or apprenticeship training.

I would suggest your company job offer and employment letter include that as requisite (assuming you have education/training) and include appropiate skills/requirements

from what I can remember, pre EE, admin assistant was accepted for CEC, but i remember reading that from 2015, for CEC, work as Admin assisnt would not count.
you need to check the NOC list against CIC website as to what is accepted

Is there any correlation between NOC numbers and immigration points? Like is it a case of the higher the number the more points you get?

No. You do not get more points for an "O" occupation compared to a "B" occupation.

There is no "list" of eligible or excluded occupations, only that they must be "skilled," defined as NOC O, A, or B.
