1 year PG diploma + 1 year course = 3 years work permit?? some doubts need help.

Hello all sen. members,

i got admission in a 1 year PG diploma in BC Canada. After its completion will i get 12 months PGWP or 8 months? also 6 months work experience is required for PR application,some months could be wasted in finding job in this way if PGWP expires then will one have to return?

1) will 1 year PG diploma + 1 year course gives 3 years work permit??
or
1 year PG diploma + 2 year masters course = 3 years work permit??

2) work done during course work counts as work experience or not??

3) How's Job opportunities in BC?..I have 6+ months work experience in IT sector in India.

please clarify these doubts.I will be very thankful for any information.

Hi,

1. Both qualify you for 3 years PGWP.

2. No.

3. BC has nice IT industry.
But definitely Indian experience won't count.
So try to get some experience while studying.

I got admission in Douglas collage BC,so it would be better to apply for another 1 year course as it gives 3 years of work permit and better chance of job and PR. Just like any would be new comer to Canada i am bit anxious about diff things.
