No. If your PGWP is 8 months, then you stop working when it expires.

You would need to find an employer who is willing to file for a LMIA ($1k) and then prove that no Canadian or PR can do the job. Takes months to process. Then you apply for a closed work permit and show your experience to do the job. That takes months to process too. Few go through the process.
