1 year course means that the course is only for 8 mnths !! MUST READ THIS

hiee guys ...!!
i am very shocked and need some advices !! specially from the seniors
hope evryone reply because this problem occurs with many students
My course is a 2 year diploma course at Niagara college ..
Now when the college brocherus came along with my SPP letter of acceptance ,i came to know that a working year at college is fr 8 mnths
with 2 terms ..And similarly 2 year means 16 mnths..
similarly a frnd of mine going in a PG diploma in hospitality got a 11 mnth visa (8+3 mnths) as 3 mnths are given extra as per embassy rules ..
hence if i apply with my SPP letter il get a visa for 16+3 mnths ..
Now where the doubt occurs is that as per the rules ANY student who completes 2 year study in canada is eligible for the 3 year work permit !! now as my course is also listed as a 2 year diploma course(although its duration being 16 mnths) will i be eligible for a 3 year work permit or not !!
This is a very imp query and disturbes many students ,hope that seniors reply

hey budy this is not a point that for how much months u have atnd clas main thing is that on ur ofr letter and degre certificate it wl mnsn that this is two year degre they r not gong to mnsn that this is 16 month degre course. See i have admsn in one year busns coure bt actual duration is 9mnths and uni ofr us 2 years complete this. I think u catch point what i am sayng

One year of study is divided into 2 academic terms of total 8 months duration. If you have 1 year term stated on your papers, you shall get 1 year of PGWP, not of 8 months. So in your case you will get PGWP based on the duration stated on your papers.

*my elder sibling finished MBA in 15 months (original duration on papers = 18 months), but got 3 years of PGWP. Why ? Because the course was equivalent to 57 credit hours (57 credit hours = 2 years of academic terms).

22 gal eda k work permit bare aje ma info ikathe ne kiti jo tu study d duration bare puchea c oh ma das ta. So hun jad ma canada jawaga ta work permit bare v info lawaga te tenu dasda ga.

yes.

there is also one provision for 1 + 1 year of education = 3 years of PGWP. (applicable in case you hold a Degree). Search it out..
