Hi All,
I am nearing the end of my 1 Year USIT/SWAP work visa, landing last March 09.. I have worked full-time as an Intern Architect with one company for the entire time.
I applied online in mid Jan 2010 (v late , i know :/ ) for a "In-Canada Temporary Resident Application". A
I've been trying to confirm with the Vegreville office ("no agents free, etc etc"), but the automated system leads me to believe that:
1. My application has not been processed yet (only those received up to Dec 11th 09 are currently beign process)
2. If I have a work permit submitted then I can continue workign under the conditions of my current WP until that new application is processed
3. My current visa requires me to leave by March 14th 2010 - i THINK that leaving Canada nullifies my new application? Can anyone clarify?
4. OR, can I happily leave, ending my visa as agreed, and return to Reside and Work - using my normal Irish passport ( to reside for 6months) and my new WP application (to work until a decision is reached)?
Kind regards,
IA
