1 + 1 years of pg diploma

Is it a wise option to study two consecutive years of pg diplomas for three years pgwp? I've no two year programs for me so thinking to go 1 + 1.
But can i get my study visa extended easily after my first program? I've got admission in Fanshawe for this fall.
Can any wisehead help me?
