Hi Guys,

We are waiting for our ECA and post that we should be ready to put up a profile. So we are at the stage of wondering about NOC codes.

After a lot of thinking and arguing my wife and I have zeroed in on 0125 - Other business services managers as the right code for her to apply on (she is the primary applicant for us).

We have 3 questions we have been going back and forth on and could really use everyone's help/ opinions/ advice/ experience for:

1. Our main concern with this code is that since it is as vague as it's description suggests it covers a wide range of functions that various 'other' business services managers may do, whereas she is in market research and would have done 2 - 3 of the 8 'descriptors' mentioned for this NOC code since it spans things as varied as legal, HR and market research. Is that alright/ enough for an experience letter?

2. Any advice on how to approach a previous employer to get these experience letters?

3. Do I, as a spouse (not primary applicant) need to have an NOC code ready to put up my profile (I am going to show my work experience) or is only relevant for the primary applicant?

Thanks in advance!
