Hi Matt, I totally understand. Me too have been PR since 2017 and my BG got completed Oct 2021. I just got the invite for exam this month. There are still many of us in this group and outside of the group that I know are waiting. And as your friend said at this point a lawyer can't do anything...

I am the same. Applied for parents Jan 17 and waiting. They had valid biometrics from 5-6 years ago.

I wish I knew. We have three options: 1- do nothing and hope officer is gonna he OK 2- submit request to change with info through webform (not sure if this will delay the application or even get accepted) 3- withdraw and reapply! I am leaning on option 2.

Hi! New portal doesn’t require photo Most documents have to be merged and uploaded under additional documents. For insurance they don’t specify anything about deductible. As long as it’s for a year from the date the intend to enter Canada and has a min coverage of 100K.

Hi! New to this thread. Is there a spreadsheet with timelines? I applied for my parents visitor visa in the new portal on January 17th. They already had biometric done. Nothing has progressed and eligibility review hasn't started. I thought on the new portal they respond within 30 days?

I’m on the same boat. Just have my background completed and not even test invite. I think we should call them and order notes. Some visa offices are slower. For example Ottawa

Hi all, My application was received on Sep 2nd, 2020. The only update I have gotten so far is background check completed on October 25, 2021. I am in Ottawa if that changes anything. Should I be worried about the delay or any way I can follow up?

My AOR was sent today and letter is dated for today. 28th of January but my ecas had the first line on Jan20th.
