Hello everyone, I sent my passport to VAC Paris for visa stamping. They sent my passport to IRCC Paris on 28 Oct, the last day before beling closed due to the lockdown in France. My passport was stamped and sent back to VAC Paris on 5 November. However, given that they are closed (probably for...

Work permit from Scandinavia (or other countries belonging to London office)

We're on the same boat. I haven't heard anything from IRCC either and I don't expect to hear anything for at least 2 or 3 months (in the most positive scenario).

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

Congrat! Seems like you will get your visa soon. Is there any chance you're living in the US? I'm not sure if IRCC is processing applications from outside Canada and the US.

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

Thank you, I think it's viable for people living in the US. As a Vietnamese applying from Belgium, it might be impossible for me. Anyway, good luck and please let us know if you manage ;)

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

I see, it's difficult then. I don't think it will be possible for us to do remote work and getting paid either. It seems like they are processing applications from March, I hope you can find a solution with your university.

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

I hope your university will find a way. May I ask where are you from and which university are you going to? I guess they can always pay in cheque and I hope it can be a solution for all of us...

    Processing time: GSS stream

Alisa, may I ask where did you send your previous letter? I submitted it through the webform and got the response 1 week later, saying my application "will be reviewed in the order it was submitted". By the way, to which university you're going? I wonder if we can ask our universities to ask...

Work permit from Scandinavia (or other countries belonging to London office)

Well, don't rely on the estimate processing time, it's not correct anymore, everywhere. You can take a look at the excel sheet. And yes, they keep increasing it every week, every where. In Belgium it's 22 weeks now, it was 20 weeks 2 weeks ago. I believe the applications are also processed by...

Hello, I'm in the same situation (LMIA exempt, postdoc, starts on Sept 1st) and I submitted my application on May 18th from Belgium. I submitted a supporting letter from my university 10 days ago and yesterday they answered me that I will not get any priority, and my application will be...
