    Yeah called ircc and even went to MP. Same response. They say it’s Covid. Ordered gcms twice. Nothing much there either. It’s like no one looked at the file and was moved twice because of work overload. It’s in Halifax now.

    Call Cic or talk to a immigration lawyer. You have a refusal. They will guide you better and tell you exactly what you need to know.

    I don’t know how long your province take to renew the work permit support letter. The exemption number does not take very long I guess. You have to renew your status first. Google renew status Canada Or ask a lawyer. The work permit itself comes in like 6 days after you apply with a complete...

    Your employer can’t make you work if you are out of status. Ask your manager if they will apply for that Lmia exemption number. Your employer has to pay for it. It’s 230$.

    Online work permit extension applications take like 6 days now. You are right you do get a letter to work right away too.

    As you don’t have a worker status. I wouldn’t recommend. Figure out your work permit first.

    You have to apply for Lmia exempt work permit. You probably have to restore your status. You are out of status now and you need a renewed pnp work support letter and Lmia exemption number that your employer has to pay for and apply for you. After that you got to apply for a closed work permit.
