Yes, I think you don't have to upload LOA for a child to submit the application. If no, you can upload letter with the name of the school he is about to start. Also you have to calculate his school tuition and show this money in your proof of funds.

You might be asked later to upgrade from TRV to SP for your son. I was told that my 6 years old son needs SP when I applied.
