Yep, sent a webform last week - waiting to hear back. Both background check and eligibility are in process.

We have gone past the quoted 17 day processing time for my spouse’s country of origin.

Ours too and we had an update that our BG check started. Someone else got a medical request from Mexico. It seems they are working but at much slower pace in whatever they can remotely.

The reason a lot of you are getting denied under the exemption is you have not proved the travel is not optional/discretionary. It’s important that there are letters from both spouses to indicate why the travel is not optional- there has to be some compelling reason. It’s clearly stated here...

This is a term used specifically for inland spousal apps. It means you have passed eligibility and may be waiting for medical And/or security and/or criminality. I do think for TRV assessments it can apply to Outland apps as well. My husband has AIP on his Outland app. I’ll let you know shortly...

How do you define “approved in principle”?

Did you get an initial letter approving your husband under the family reunification exemption? Just wondering as this is the stage we are at.
