No you do not need to request one, IRCC will send it to you through your profile a few days after the biometric is done.

Thank you all. My profile was uploaded two days after the medical exam instruction letter was received. So all is set now and my medical exam passed already. Thx God! Now I should be awaiting the result of SP approval. Finger crossed!

Have applied study permit for a month with biometric and medical check done, but I’ve not yet got any updates, agent said there are a lot of visa refusal cases lately. Did anyone got their student visa approved in April to give me some hope?

I understand I hv to provide the required fund to support my tuition fee and living cost during my study in Canada. But do I have to hold the amount in the bank for 4 months before applying study permit? Or just showing the amount has been deposited is good enough?
