    Spousal sponsorship

I am currently in the process of sponsoring my spouse and he has no intention of sponsoring his children (14 and 22) to Canada. In the post it states that he would have to sign a paper stating that he knows that he will never be able to sponsor them? How to you find that paper or what is the...

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

Hi, no, there was no letters or communication sent from CBSA. I know at this exact moment in time we cannot apply for an inland application, but if nothing is ever received from CBSA, could we consider an inland application in about a year or so? After we are either commonlaw or married?

Also, I spoke with him last night. Originally, the communication from IRCC was that there was information missing from the application. They never sent any documentation that he had a ban and/or that there was a removal order issued.

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

Actually, if he does have a 5yr ban, is that considered from the day that they made the decision or the date from when he exits Canada. I am wondering if it is best for him to leave, wait out the time (it might only be a year or so more) and then reapply for a visa or I sponsor him at that...

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

Thank you so much for your reply. With all that said, suppose he is able to stay under the radar, is it still possible to apply for and still be considered for an inland sponsorship if in the event I decide it's something that I want to do once my current undertaking is over?

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

His canadian wife submitted the PR application and listed him as 'married' to her because they were married. When he applied for the marriage licence, he stated he was single because that's what his Dominican ID says. His canadian wife is who withdrew the application because IRCC determined the...

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

My understanding is that once his 'canadian wife' was made aware that he was married, she pulled the application. So I am not sure how far that went. She broke off the relationship and kicked him out. Honestly, I believe him when he says he didn't know he was still married. He married when he...

    Overstayed a Canadian Visa-options

Thank you all for the replies. I don't know if this helps, but I just looked at his Passport. His passport actually expired in December 2022. (I am sure he just renews that at his consulate) His Canada Visa also expired in December 2022 (it was a 5yr visa) and his American Visa is still...

Hi there, Ok, I am currently in a relationship with someone who arrived in Canada in 2019. Pandemic closed the borders and he ended up overstaying his visitor visa. He never returned back to his country of origin. Our story is a little complicated... I am currently married and had sponsored...

Phone calls from an Immigration officer

hey there! So last year when this happened it was right before the pandemic was declared. The IRCC wanted his email to send communication as there was some information missing from my husbands H&C consideration component. He has a removal scheduled for mar 26/20. They wanted me to send what was...

PR card arrived!! How do we get seized documents returned?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows the process to have seized documents returned? Some of you may know our story, my husband had a removal order and was supposed to leave Canada in March from a rejected refugee claim and at that time our family sponsorship had not been approved yet...

Hubby has CoPR, but what happens next when he's already here????

This is very exciting! There was no actual letter attached to the notification in the GC, it it does have a document number and it says ‘valid’. How long does it usually take to mail out the PR card?

Hubby has CoPR, but what happens next when he's already here????

Hi everyone, I am hoping to have something cleared up for me. I began the process to sponsor my husband last October. It has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Luckily, it was an inland application because he was already here. So after lots of document searching and lawyers and $$$, we...

Payment for RPRF- How do they know I've paid?

Hello :) I have sponsored my husband with an inland application. At the time, I didn't pay for the PR portion. He just received his letter for AIP and just completed his Medical by a panel doctor. We haven't recieved a letter on 'how to pay' for the RPRF yet, however, I want to pay it. I...
