I have a few documents being translated that are going to arrive close to the date I must mail my application in. They are the original separation document from my partner and her police, background check. Could I mail those documents separate from my application if they don't arrive in time...

I have not seen that posted anywhere on the government website, it makes sense ( I mean it's a letter from family that is easily translated on Google) is that your exprience? Did you translate and submit unofficial proofs for your application and did it get okayed?

That would not work. The guide clearly states that documents must be translated to english or french by a certified translator and must be accompanied by a certified copy of the original document in french. I think if they simply send it in english I won't need any of that.

To keep this short I only have copies of the family letters of support, in Portuguese, that I am having translated by an official translator. The originals are in Brazil and I don't think I can get them sent in time before I have to post the application package for permanent residency. So...

I'm using a consultant who was a CBSA employee whose job for 32 years was to review these applications and approve or reject them. My consultant said to click "proceed" because if it gets rejected for a simple mistake you made you want the ability to fix the mistake.
