It has been a long time since I have checked in but, my husband received his passport request recently. It took us nearly 24 months so, I won't bother posting a timeline but, I hope that nobody else goes through the long wait that we had, and to keep your hopes up no matter what.

could be a week, or nearly a year later like in my spouse's case. if they finished background checks then it could be in a week or so.

My spouse's application could have been approved last May but, it's stuck in background checks .It is becoming harder everyday.

Been reviewing GCMS to see what could be wrong with my spouses application, would be it be strange to have almost thirty pages blanked out in the gcms?

my spouse applied for the us diversity lottery visa several years ago, and remembered about it recently, would we need to declare this information? His application has been in process since 2020. He never kept up with the application, and didn't get it.

are you inside Canada? Have you considered writ of mandamus? I have sent webform a couple of time with no response, and considering legal route in a couple months.

If it goes to that point yes,it will cost up to 10k but, often with the initial threat, they start processing applications quickly and never leads to the point.

What delayed your application in the beginning? The main office in Sydney sends the biometric and police requests, then once it transfers to Nairobi, the office there starts processing the PA side by sending them the medical request. After that they start assessing eligibility around two to...

How long does it take for address change to appear on ECAS? I submitted during the last week of September and the old address is still listed as of today. I sent a webform to the visa office as well two weeks ago and no response. :rolleyes:

There was an applicant from November 2020, who received their decision recently. They are working their way through but, the backlog is bad and they are very slow.

I am 2020 still waiting. :) I'm incredibly angry because of zero communication. If there is was communication about something wrong with our application I would be at peace with that. But, there is zero, everything is passed according to GCMS notes. Unbelievable :mad: .

that's awful and devastating. i hope that things will be fast for you as well. It was Vienna office that assessed eligibility.
