I am exactly in the same situation. Sent from US to VFS in NY. Got PPR on May 10. I have travel plan for June 20th. I am still waiting to hear back from IRCC and hoping I will not have to reschedule travel and ruin my vacation plan ... I would suggest you request an extension for a month or so...

This happened to us in June 2020. We got PPR in March the waited 3 months, we did not ask for the passports, but they just returned them to us without COPR or Visa stamps.
