I dont know whats the exact ruling but we did go on US plates a couple of times for 4-5 days and never had a problem - the first time for soft landing we told them that we'd be doing import process later.

I want to do the same thing as well - please do share the process you followed.

Yes you will need a visa to enter the US. Only Canadian Citizen can travel without a visa using their passport.

I dont see a problem in this - I was on L1 visa and was staying in US - though i just visited couple of times but didn't have any issues at either border. Also a PR in Canada.

Dont think as long as you dont do it for an extensive period of time - plus my residence would still be of US. Not to change anything there.

thats a good recommendation I would definitely do that - again because the initial 1-2 month would be in US - the initial vaccinations should be done here but later vaccinations - absolutely.

Awesome answers and really helpful. Yeah in US we had issues with PCP - though getting other doctors is not an issue. We hope to be covered with US insurance so worse (i hope it never comes to that) but we could travel to US for this.
