I just received my visa allowing me to enter Canada. The letter also states that I would receive my PGWP at the port of entry. My question is based on current travel restrictions would I be stopped from entering if I’m not fully vaccinated or because technically the PGWP is also an open work permit?

Hey man. Thanks for the reassurance. In my application I put the the start date of work as August instead of July 30th. Since my permit had expired by then do you think it changes my chances? Or should I write a web form to get it switched to the 30th since it was a genuine mistake on my part

Well they both expired the same day too. Based on that information from the website, would you say it’s important to have started this work before the expiry of the study permit then? Or does it not matter as long as the only violation is that of the duration of authorized stay?

I just saw on their website, the actual law website that if the only reason your work is unauthorized is that you stayed beyond the validity of your permit then you can still get your work permit. It happened to another person on this forum and he said he got his after explaining the situation...

I just found out that if your work if unauthorized only because you worked beyond when you’re supposed to then you can still receive your work permit. If it’s for multiple reason then you won’t unless 6 months have passed. I think you will be fine
