Yes the portal is only for if you are already in Canada. Being American I'm allowed to be here for 6 months as a visitor so I've been here since June, hoping it would only be a couple months

Can I ask you guys how long it took to get the portal link? I received the PPR email a few weeks ago, and they said to fill out a webform within 5 days which I did within a day, and still have not heard anything. Starting to worry about what to do next

It's been 10 days since I sent my web form about the virtual landing. When should I start to worry about not hearing from them? If another week goes by should I do the passport instructions they sent to make sure that's sent within the 30 days they gave me?

Just received my PPR email :D can't believe this is finally happening. ECAS and gckey login haven't changed, except for my status ok gckey showing submitted. My email says since I'm already in Canada I can be landed virtually and to go through a webform instead of submitting anything, so...

I believe I got a ghost update today. On ECAS, there was a new item listed, but it was that they sent me a letter on June 3rd? Don't know what that is. But on gckey, it said application/profile updated, but there was nothing new on my profile.

I received my pre arrival letter last night. I was one of the NYVO that was sent to Manila, I saw someone else that had that get their PPR a few days after the letter so fingers are crossed!

Haven't been active here in awhile, but I too was told my file was in the NY office and recently changed my address and got an email from Manila saying they are processing my application and I'm queued for review. I'm glad to see others have gotten it too and hope that it moves forward soon...
