Hi there, I sponsored my wife and her son to Canada. My wife's COPR document states the undertaking length is 3 years, but her son's (he is 7 years old) states it's for 10 years. What does this mean? Am I financially/legally responsible for them for 3 years or 10? Thanks

Thanks for the response. Yes, they pay a large portion of the rent but not all of it. Who should I contact in regards to this? IIRC? CRA? COHB themselves? Just want to double check so I won't be owing thousands next year or in the future.

My family is already in Canada...wife and son. We are on the COHB benefit which we will be receiving monthly. Are you confident it is not social assistance that will have to be repaid? The government is vague with what is considered welfare/social assistance. I'm very concerned.
