Hi. Is it okay to submit photos clicked in India since a soft landing was done? Is ot better to mail directly from India or send it through relative in Camada whose address was given for PR card delivery at time of landing?

I have not got my PR card, they rejected my application. It seems they did not understand what I was asking them to do and they had my name inverted from the start, so now I have 3 different names in my documents lol. I complete one year in Ontario soon, I might just go for the legal name change...

Could be a possibility. The email says that card has name split. But my PR card has first name in bold followed by last name in normal font in the next line. Now Im thinking whether they just flipped the name in the incorrect order Calls aren't connecting its always busy, will keep trying...

Unable to link the application online, tried all variables. The email said my name would be split and they still refunded the $50, hence my doubt whether they'll be issuing a new PR card. Also the email header says "Last name First Name" so I know its updated electronically.

You will have to provide current Canadian address to be printed along with an address proof.

Yes, I did a walk in. Got my passport in a month.

I got it done in May, attached two pieces of ID - Aadhaar and DL with the application and a letter explaining that name was wrongly printed and its split in all documents in India.

It's because all my details in Ontario were entered as a different name, Ontario requires a minimum of 12 months stay for me to process name change for those docs. Yeah that's my concern as well. The checkin counters. Best bet I have is to carry my old passport along, hope they understand.

That's a great tip to show it as other names used. Definitely would avoid problems. So to get this right, you were able to update name change in PR card without the Official name change process of Ontario? If yes, then that's great!

Yes i haven't got my PR card yet but it would be printed as you said. So I understand if i change only on my passport as of now it can create problems. Let me consider that then. Thank you again.

The 12 month rule is on Service Ontario website. Also if i do get passport as is, it's still only first name in passport, and only last name in PR card. So there is going to be mismatch anyway. Let's see if any other member has an input for this. Thank you Manu!

Thank you for your reply. My passport expires in September so have to get that renewed. Other docs min 12 months are required. This is an issue then?
