Still waiting for response on my reconsideration request. It already passed the 30 days timeline so I called up IRCC - they are following up with Case Processing Centre Edmonton but still no answer.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, May I ask how long it took them to reply to your reconsideration request ?

Edit: Never thought different expiry date for TRV and study permit can cause issue. Lesson learned: Always check both dates and verify with CIC when in doubt. Hope this help someone down the line
