Yea In the a fb group.. inland oct 2018 applicant 2 people got medicals this month.. there's been more movement last month than the previous 3. So be patient guys, its a matter of time before we get it

Yes I confirm this is the case too. However I know some Outland applicants are able to do it upfront depending on the regional clinics

I believe that's for EE and work permit applicants. Few months back I thought of doing the same but clinics told me IRCC has clearly outlined that for QSW applicants you need the request prior to doing medical. On the other hand, there's no point sending medicals if the officer isn't looking at...

This is a false news. I don't think theres any outside maybe few exceptions from September or aug 2019 application that got DM nor medical. Processing times for paper applications have stalled. It will eventually pick up swiftly.

Does it show in your file that security check has started? And yes it all depends on how long the external agency takes.

None of my friends who applied after may 2018 have got their PR yet. I do think if it wasn't for covid, we would have got it by now. However with everything being open now, they should be back to offices I think. Let's hope for the best

Oh I hope they clear all of this soon. When I applied in 2018, processing time was 13 months. Now I really wish I had taken the EE route. Would be on my way to citizenship now

Hey everyone. I just got the message that our medical was passed. However, security hasn't still started. Is this normal? Does security usually automatically become "in process" after medical passed or does it stay not started and suddenly changes to passed?

I'm inland too .. MR Aug 2020. So they are definitely processing applications. Waiting for good news soon.

So I applied in July'18 although ECAS says IRCC has the receipt of the documents in September. Just received medicals via email out of the blue with months of no activity. Do you know how long it takes to get PR once medical is passed? My concern is that the security is not yet started.

Yeah I'm in September and no MR yet. Hope it turns around sooner than later
