I applied to extend my CAQ and just got it approved, however they used a wrong name so it is a complete mistake. What can I do about it and how long would that take to fix it ?

Thank you! I was thinking the same way, definitely makes sense. However, my universities international lawyer advisor said it is Kinda illegal to do so since they want people to apply through this process only if they are within Canada, that’s why I asked here as well

Yes, but VFS is closed in my country( my only option seems to apply through inside of Canada process which is online but I don’t know if it’s okay to apply for it while being outside of Canada.

I applied for CAQ so can show this as well. As for extension. I can’t apply outside of Canada because officers are closed in my country. Only way is to apply through inside of Canada process online but I can do it while I’m outside. Not sure if it’s illegal

Thanks! I was thinking of doing this but apparently that Is considered illegal because they ask you if you’re “within Canada” and I’m not, so I was told this is a mispresentation. Like the border will ask if I was inside of Canada when I applied and I wasn’t. Not sure if this is actually illegal.
