Is anyone still waiting for their PR card after sending the photo around April? I saw on another tread that people are getting theirs in less than a month now while mine is 3 months and counting with no updates on the portal.

I’m the same. I sent my photo on 30th of April. I was able to link my application but there are absolutely no updates in there. When I call CIC, it just says there is nobody pick up the call.

To the cic account. Sponsor only got the eligibility. I also received a notification there was a message on the application.

Just received eligibility for the sponsor. However they asked that we provide proof of us living together prior to the application. We sent them lease documents, plane tickets, joint accounts dating back 2 years with our application. This is so frustrating.

Guys, how long between medical passed/bgc started and the next update these days? Mine has been stuck there for a month now.

What about background check? Usually after the second ghost update, it's supposed to go back to not required briefly.

It says the same for me on Ecas and I passed medical already. I think it means you passed.

I was waiting for them to get a bit further in the background check so I can be informed on the outcome.

Does anyone know about the gcms notes? I’m thinking of requesting them after this week to see where I’m at.

That’s weird they asked for biometric fees though. What are those for? I’m fairly certain you have to give biometrics if you haven’t given them in the past 10 years.

So I just got an update that my background check started. I believe this is IP2. Hopefully this is the last step before the approval. I still don’t have the biometric request though. Message says: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

I passed medical on 24th of October but didn't receive AIP or anything since the medical request and CSQ approval. Background check says: not applicable. Does anyone know what's next?

That’s correct. I called them up a few times. You need the AIP letter in addition to the CSQ to get RAMQ.

We applied September last year. Got work permit December. CSQ application 6th of March 2020, CSQ approved 22nd of September. Medical request 16th of October. I did the medical yesterday. I called up a few places and the prices are around 230-250. They only take cash for some reason and do not...

Same. I assumed they would update it once we reach that stage? It also says I don't need to give biometrics for example, but I not that's not true and they will request them eventually.

We applied in September and just got medical as well. Seems like some applications are fast tracked. I wish they told us why.

I know! I was baffled as to why they would ask for that but after searching around, I learnt it is common in my field of PhD to request activities to make sure we weren't involved in nuclear weapon research etc. of any kind. Still surprising though! Applied for CSQ in March 6 and got it in 22nd...

I just got a medical request. CSQ arrived 22nd September. Others should get it around the same time as their CSQ, because they requested a CV and summary of scientific activities from me first when my CSQ was approved.
