My parents gave their biometric mid April and I still have no update on Medical or PCC. The timeline is all over the place

The last letter I received for additional documents had 'Application: XF' followed by numbers on the top. Does that mean an application number has been assigned?

Thank you for your response. I am worried since we have a dependent on file who will be turning 22 next month. Do you know when does age lock come into effect? The details on the IRCC website just say when we submit complete application. But they have asked for additional documents since then...

Question for everyone: Would it be beneficial for processing timeline if I apply for my parents after they are in Canada on visitor visa? Or the timeline is same regardless of wherever they are in the world? Does the country of processing depend on where the applicant is or the sponsor?

I am not sure how true it is that they lottery system prioritizes people who have qualified for it longer. Because I know someone who had just turned into a PR and applied for their parents in 2020 and got an invite to apply in the first draw.
