I definitely get the feeling, heck it seems I am on my way to join you there... If only this time freeze/warp could apply to the unpleasant part of our lives as well...

Today I emailed Mr Goodale's office. And I learned that my file did not move at all for like, 1-2 months. It has been sitting in eligibility recommend pass / criminality passed / security not started this whole time. On the other side, sooner in August I applied for a BOWP to be able to stay...

I am going on a limb and say that ... eligibility and criminality checks are done and OK, and they started the security checks in Aug 6 :D So if you are not handpicked for a nice little security screening it should be over relatively soon for you(hopefully). I have never said and heard the word...

Today I have reached a new level. I called about this queue for review email, to learn that my eligibility (which I was told was passed 2 weeks ago) is actually in review, and security still not started... To hear this when my file is already late is just beyond frustrating, it is a whole new...

Happens quite often. The way I deal with this is that I delete cache history and cookies, close the browser, and reopen to try again. And I do this until it works. It takes usually 2-3 attempts, but I've seen days where it took me so much that I stopped to retry later.

Nope, the security part is the least transparent of the process for obvious reasons. There is no way to tell if it is going to take you a week, a month or a year. On average though, the longest is still the eligibility if I am not mistaken, so hang in there, there is pretty much nothing you can...

Hello fellow decemberers, today I received some news. Don't really know what to make of it. Last update was last Thursday when I called about the ghost update. The status then was eligibility criminality passed, security not started. On the phone the agent told me she would send a note to...

I called to follow up on the famous ghost update I noticed last Friday. Eligibility/criminality passed, security not started. Meanwhile the clock is ticking and it seems I will have to shell out for an extension after all (got 2-3 weeks left before a reasonable deadline to file for it). I really...

This is the automated response, there simply is nothing to decode here, nothing about the status or any other important details that would help you understand where you're at now. Your best bet to learn more about your application would be, as it is almost always the case, to get your GCMS...

It really seems to be coming in waves. I'm happy for all of you folks who were part of the last one. Hopefully I'll follow the tides soon as I got a ghost update last Friday. Gotta admit I am checking my emails 6x/hour when awake now :D Following everyone's tribulations here is really helping...

I got the same thing today. "profile updated" when I logged in, but nothing changed in the text statuses. I guess we'll see what it is about soon.

I definitely understand the frustration exhibited by some here. To a point I do not believe it is entitlement. I will take my own case for example, I am already a taxpayer here, but cannot have access to most of the services (temporary worker status). The process taking too long will have...

Well it is always a bit reassuring to not be alone in a situation. This is getting increasingly frustrating for me. I have no idea where my file is at, I contacted my MP, and I have no reply so far except the automated AOR. Meanwhile the clock does not stop ticking for me and the expiry date of...

Well you can sureley show the same type of document, but it has to be up to date, so you'll need to get a new one that reflects the current situation.

Hello fellow Decemberies, I am still waiting like a lot of you, for any news. Contacted my MP on the matter to see what they can find. I was just wondering about a technicality. In mid august I have a 2 weeks long holiday trip planned back home. If PPR comes right during or before that trip, I...

How did you reach your MP ? By email at the address provided on the parliament website ? I am going to try this today or this weekend I think. I do believe it would probably not speed up the process but at least I'd know where my file is at. Also how do you call your MP ? Dear Mr X or your...

I am in the same boat. Applied from inland tho. 29 dec AOR, medical passed Feb 11, still nothing. Called and got told Bg check processing, criminality/security not started. My work permit expires in 3 months, I will apply soon for a BOWP (and spend close to 1000 dollars in private insurance :/...

Well that's definitely annoying. What works for me is to clear the whole thing (history/cache/cookies), close browser, open again and try, rinse and repeat til it works, and it usually takes me 2-3 attempts like this. If that does not work for you then I don't know :(

For the GCKey login bug, I find that deleting cookies and cache of the web browser helps. Clear cache and cookies, close the browser and reopen, and try to log again. It may take a few attempts but usually for me it goes through in 2-3 tries.

It is reassuring and a bit heartwarming to read some of you are done with the waiting game. I am going to try and hold on to the no news good news principle, as I believe any incomplete document or error would have been flagged and discussed by now. But we all know it is easier said than done...
