I've applied for my parents together as a group. Also emailed high commission and received a non committal standard response after 20 some days

Applied on 23rd January (IRCC Portal) Biometric Request: 25th Jan Biometric Completed: 27th Jan Submission from Mumbai No update since then. Parents application still shows that IRCC has not received the biometrics even though both applications have the biometric numbers generated

Thanks for sharing!! This explains why some applications have been stuck for so long and some get approval within days..they need to stop experimenting with the applications to build their learning data..unacceptable

Similar situation here. My parents both did the biometric JAN 24thm but biometrics is still not updated. Did you receive any updated since then?

I applied for my parents on Jan 24th, Biometrics done Jan 27th (Mumbai) and have no movement since then. They have held Canadian Visitor Visa before and hold a valid US Visa right now. Visited Canada and US multiple times since last 10 years. Unfortunately, not all Jan files are moving this fast :(

UPDATE Confirmed with VFS in India that all VV applications since ~2019 require biometrics. I paid for the biometrics fee along with the application and got the request for Biometrics within 12 hours.
