Okay I understand that. But whats the purpose of me having a multiple entry visa then? The whole purpose of that visa is to enter a country multiple times..if I was living in Canada, shouldnt I be able to return to Canada on the visa that I have, then come back to the UK..?

Yes. Sounds more like it. I do don't have any Canadian visa, that expired last year before I came to the UK. So I would need to apply for a visa to visit Canada? Would I be able to apply for a multiple entry visa to Canada, since I plan on visiting throughout the year.
