First of all, congrats!
This was our case too. Send a webform updating your address and explaining your situation. I got a new RFV letter in my account after a week. :)
Neither, it expires the day the clinic sends it to CIC. My husband and I took the exams on September 27th. His exams had an expiry date of October 1st. As for myself, they requested an extra exam and then my expiry date was after I took that one, November 21st.
Just received GCMS notes ordered mid July! :p
My case was marked "ready to finalize" by case analyst in May 2nd. That was the day I received a ghost update. Absolutely nothing happened after that until the notes were processed. My guess is that when I sent a change of address someone had to...
No specific reason that I could find out so far. There are a few small things that made me concerned, like one of the companies I worked for not existing anymore, but I had plenty of documentation about it. I haven't received GCMS notes ordered in July, so I don't know if it had an impact or...
And today I woke up to: READY FOR VISA EMAIL!!!
I can't put down in words how important you guys in this forum have been in this long, long wait! I'm here hoping everyone gets their visa soon!
Timeline summary (might come back later with a more complete one)
09/11 - AOR
11/12 - medicals...
No, I was living in Ireland and I'm moving to Brazil this week. I sent the address update because I've already left Ireland and I'm sort of in vacation right now.
Woke up this morning to an application update! Medicals passed again on September 6th!! Didn't take re-medicals, but sent webform two weeks back asking about it and a week ago changing our address. My medicals expiry date was November 21st and my husband's was October 1st.
You don't need to, you can have a dual intent LOE. I simply mentioned that I didn't trust my PR to come in time for semester start and if I had to leave Canada I'd come back to Europe instead of Brazil because of better job prospects
I would suggest you research the college and course you want to take first and reach out to them. I didn't need IELTS because I graduated from an American university, pretty sure they can make exceptions in other cases too, for example IELTS general training and work experience... worth a try.
I know, I've the following the number of PPRs for November on my immi tracker and they've been steadily approving one or two files a day. Definitely an improvement over 8 months, when it stalled and we didn't see any PPRs for a while. My point is just that I don't remember when was the last time...
You haven't been here long, have you?... for most of us a this point, they only give generic answers, webform, MP, calling CIC, the time they were useful is gone, that's why we get more anxious, because we don't know what's going on
I have an update for you guys! My application for a study permit was approved! It's not the PR yet, but already I feel out of the limbo of not being able to make plans for my life. I'm going to Canada in December (guaranteed!!) and start studying in January. Hopefully by then I'll have the PR...
