A ghost update is when you log into your profile to see your application has been "updated" but when you click on your application, there are no changes. No one knows for sure what a ghost update means but it is speculated that it might be because background work has been done on your application.

To be honest, I can’t remember if I did that. But my PR card application is viewable in my cic account profile. I guess that means I did link my application? It’s status is “submitted” and it says it was received “January 10th” which is about three days after I was issued CoPR. Just no updates...

My photos for my first PR card was delivered today. And so the wait begins, again...I find it surprising how the current processing time for first PR ID card is just over 4 months when my entire immigration application was processed in 6 months!

Congratulations! Was your application approved before receiving CoPR? Or was it approved at the same time as receiving CoPR? My application was approved today but I have not received CoPR correspondence letter yet.

Thank you! Sorry, I don't know the specific dates I passed each stage but I can say that, after receiving a ghost update on December 11th, I called IRCC who told me I had passed all stages and to now wait for the final decision. Almost a month after passing all stages, I received final approval.
