applying for PR, on verge of being unemployed for than 2 years in last 3 years.
There is no such requirement as 2 year unemployment will be treated as not elligible to apply. You or your wife should have at least 1 year of continuous employment in last 10 year.- Ulagakudimagan

how long does it take from IP2 to PPR these days?
It depends on case by case -> for me it took a month from IP2 to receive PPR- Ulagakudimagan
