No, that's why it's called a ghost update. At least in my case (for PR it was the same) the day before I got approved, I logged into my cic account and saw that it says "profile updated" instead of "submitted"

Yea those agents don't know more than what the "official" processing times say. On that note, nope, he is wrong, they are already working on applications received on January 24th because I received a ghost update today. On April 21st they were working on January 17th applications, but 10 days...

Congrats! I thought you said it was approved on April 18th, instead of 24th?

I just called CIC and they said the processing time is now 93 days and they're working on applications received on January 17th, and that is based on the update from April 21st most likely. So I'm 100% sure they'll work on ours this week ;)

6 Weeks? Holy cow. Someone else here on this thread said it only took 2 days. Damn, I'm screwed if it takes 6 weeks. I will have to travel outside Canada hoping they will let me back in without the physical dodcument.

Yes I applied on January 24th. I believe it will get approved for us next week based on the latest processing times.

Congrats! May I ask: Do you already have the physical document? Or did they tell you how long it takes to be mailed to you? Is it unwise to fly without having the original visa and only having the confirmation online?

I doubt it has anything to do with that. It's just coincidental or as scheduled. Based on the processing times and on which application they're working on, it just makes sense that they're processing end of December/beginning of January by now.

What do you expect? That's not even 2 months. Be patient, they say 84 days so it's highly unlikely they will process it faster. Check the processing times, they should update it this week and then we will see on which applications they're working on.

I think quite a few people (of this thread) received the golden email this week. My AoR is Nov 4th and I received the email on Monday after the ghost update last Sunday. So, hold on just a bit longer and you will get it too ;)

Hey! You are right! I received my "golden email" around 6 ish. :) is PPR email the one where they ask you to send passport photocopy and pictures etc to the visa office?

Are you sure? Or is this just case specific? Because some people received PPR after they had the ghost update last week. What do they ask you at the interview, do you have any idea?
