The Consulate was SUPPOSED to hold it and I went there first, but they said they already sent it over to BLS. So went to BLS next door. It's been a stressful few weeks but all good now and I'm happy BLS didn't mess this up for once! Thanks for the wishes!

Yes, I had gone yesterday and they said the consulate still has it and asked me to come back today 11am PST. I went in today and they were sorting the OCIs for courier. They gave mine to me very easily and my package had "HOLD" written on it. Thanks for everyone's help in this forum!!

Update: Received OCI in hand!! Vancouver BLS. It showed processed on Oct 31st (yesterday) and went to BLS today to collect it. FYI, I had paid for courier but my travel date was very near so I requested to pick it up and I was able to very easily! Hopefully this helps some people with tight...

2 days, that's what I was told. But in some cases they might not update it even though it's dispatched.

I had the same question! And it's approved already, shouldn't matter where I pick it from. And the CGI and BLS buildings are right next to each other!! :/

Update: I went directly to CGI office here in Vancouver and requested to be able to pick up my OCI. They asked if I have an emergency and since I'm travelling for my wedding I told them that. They asked for proof (wedding invite or so). So I'm going tomorrow with proof and hopefully they give it...

Thanks, I read the comments. It sucks how they behave with us. I'll be going in everyday twice to see if they received it. Luckily the center is very close to me. Will keep everyone updated!

OCI Update: Walkin Vancouver: Sep 25 Date of acknowledgement: Sep 27 OCI: Processed Oct 31 BLS website still says Processing at CG. Hoping to pick up my OCI from BLS itself tomorrow since my flight is on 6th Nov and I doubt the courier will reach me by then especially because of the weekend...

You are safe. Toronto timelines are 21 days after date of acknowledgement and 5-6 days after for courier. If everything goes well, you should get it by 9-10 Nov. Plenty of time before your flight. Good luck.

Someone from Toronto mission managed to pick it up from the center itself, even though they paid for courier. I'm planning to do the same. Once status turns to processed, just visit them and ask if you could pick up. Good luck!

You should get it in about 10 days. No need to apply for entry visa and submit passport. You have plenty of time don't worry.
