AOR is August 8 and latest status online is BG check is in process. She also mentioned eligibility has not been met yet. But doesn't that come before BG check? So confused right now!

I luckily managed to connect with an agent using the IRCC hotline. She said that my file is in Ottawa and I should call them again around mid / end April, around the 20th if I don't hear from them until then. Anyone here with the same experience? How do they determine this new "deadline"?

Thanks for your feedback! Although the status in my online account is still "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". Does this mean I haven't passed eligibility yet? One day waiting post 6 months feels like one week of waiting prior the 6 month deadline!
