Hello everyone This forum brings back alot of memories. I was using this forum in 2010. I immigrated in 2011 and now I am a Canadian citizen. Keep it up, I wish you all the best.

I applied to get two visit visas for my parents almst 70 years old in Amman Office just last Sunday. I got the biometrics letters on Friday. They will go and do it on Sunday. What is next? Will the visa office take the passports this time?

which number to use? UCI or application no.? I received 4 emails with 4 different numbers cuz we are 4 members, but I don't know which is who.

I got an email to aknowledge receipt of my citizenship application I got an email to acknowledge receipt of my application for citizenship, it has UCI and application #. Is this email genuine? can I use the UCI to check the status of my application?

I was using this forum in 2010-2011. I still remember these days when I was waiting for any clue from the visa office and reading the comments and advices of this forum's members. Waiting is tough, and we had to wait more than 4.5 yrs to get the visas on out passports. But now, it's all past...

You may transit through Montreal, and complete the landing process there. I did the same before 3 weeks, no problem at all to land and finish your PR papers in Montreal Airport.

First thing after getting your SIN numbers is a visit to Open Door Society. They will help with guiding your next steps on every aspect for a new immigrant ( jobs, housing, schools, driving lic., ....) All the best.

At the POE no body will ask you to have this specific amount of money, they will ask you how much you carry and write that on your COPR, nothing more.
