Do you guys know that generally when does a background check start? I called IRCC, and their agent said the check generally starts at the beginning of an application.

The same boat for me. I called IRCC last week. They said my eligibility check was passed, and the bg check was still going on. I don't know why the bg check is so time-consuming.

Okay, thanks. That makes sense for me. We have a similar boat. My application has been going on for almost 14 months, and my medical status is "we don't need that".

So you did a medical re-check without CIC notification before you got PPR?

The feedback email for webform enquires.

I got feedback to say: "The responsible office has completed verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements ". I guess it means a pass.

Once your eligibility passes, you will be Okay.

I could not see any senses in a rejection if the eligibility check has passed and the files are true.

Are you an outland applicant? Are you applying the PR and a study permit at the same time? How did they associate your PR and study permit applications? I have a similar situation. My new term is coming so that I may need to apply for my study permit as well.
