@samy34178 I got the visitor visa much prior to submitting the work permit application. I know I can apply for the PR now, but I am waiting as I do not want conflicting country of residence in my work permit and PR application.

@samy34178 I got the same response that they have not started reviewing the application yet, which is the same information as shown online. Also, that my application has gone to the Edmonton office in Canada. Seriously how is this 2 week processing !

@samy34178 I will touch my 2 week mark tomorrow as I applied on Nov 29th. I called IRCC today and after waiting for around 40 minutes they told me my application has had no updates and doesn't look like anyone got assigned to it. The person left a note on the application to expedite the process...

Hi, Do you have an update on your application yet ? I am in the exactly same situation. Also how did you calculate the 4.5 weeks processing time, as according to the CIC website the processing time for applicants for work permit from US is 2 weeks.
