Any idea how long it takes to get the passport back from (for the jan 3rd DM's) ? Ive got the PPR on feb 1st and sent passport. They received passport on 4th of Feb. Just curious.

MP's won't be able to change or influence CIC's decision. Its just faster way of getting detailed information on the file. Other than that I see visiting MP's office is not much of a help.

Did any of you who got DM on starting of this year got CPP emails yet? or am I the only one who still waiting?

Mine still says background check for the past few months now and today too.

Just called CIC and heard the automated telephone say for PR processing its 29 months. But the online processing times page says 19 months. Also, the online portal was updated on the 4th of December. Can anyone confirm if they get the same message? this is making me concerned now.

Same here I'm closer to 19 month mark. Mine says security check cleared and on file. When I called CIC it says we are doing your background check.

What is the CIC number that can actually get me to an agent? tried few times but I'm not getting anywhere close to talking to an agent.

Looks like all other province's files are being processed reasonably but not BC province's. Anyone have any Idea why?

I made a request through MP Office and got the reply within 48 hours.

That's exactly the reply I got from CIC when I requested through MP Office.

According to current processing times, for June 2017 applications received by CIC, the 19 months processing time will be due in Jan. So my best guess is by mid or end of Jan 2019 maximum, the June 2017 applicants should have their PR. Fingers crossed
