    Spousal sponsorship

Thank you that is great news!! I just found out that the Dutch government can give me an international birthcertificate, in English, so that makes it even easier! That should be fine then right, without getting an affadavit and everything?

    Spousal sponsorship

Ive got a question about translating documents. If my birth certificate is not in English or French, I need to get an official copy and translation? What about rental contracts? Do I need to get them officially translated as well or do I add an extra sheet of explanation? Long story but my...

Just jumping on board here - I will also be arriving in Jan 10th, and will apply for inland. I dont have a return ticket and definitely wasnt planning on buying one as last time I went to Canada I also got an one-way and nobody asked, in case they do ask I have 10.000CAD as proof of money that I...

    Inland vs Outland advice

Wow so many insecurities! Thanks for all your answers - very helpfu. Is it generally advised to be honest when you arrive as a visitor in Canada at the border? Or to just say that youre visiting and then to apply for PR?

    Inland vs Outland advice

Hi - sounds like we're in a pretty similar situation! My boyfriend is Canadian, we are currently in Asia and it's hard to make a decision on inland vs outland. I'm not looking forward to staying home all day on inland until the work permit comes in, but also not looking forward to waiting for...

Would love some advice: inland vs outland

Thank you! This forum and all of your answers are so helpful. It looks like inland is the easiest/fastest way to go and hopefully I can find some awesome volunteer work to keep myself busy and most of all useful while waiting on my OWP :-)

Would love some advice: inland vs outland

Thank you!! I did not know there was no OWP option for outland. So if I have a valid eta for lets say six months, I apply for inland, and then go travel until my OWP is approved, I should be able to enter Canada again without any problems? Do you maybe know if we are allowed to do volunteer...

Would love some advice: inland vs outland

Thank you!! So if my goal is to start working in Canada asap it is probably better to do inland and wait for the OWP. It seems that if I stay in Holland or go travel and apply for outland, I would be waiting up to 12 monts whereas OWP is 'only' up to 4 months. Thanks again!

    Spousal sponsorship

Yea common-law! My only hesitation with inland is the long wait for the open work permit. Maybe a silly question but what do people do all day for three months when youre not allowed to work?
