All, I have been working for my employer who is in the work permit for 5 months now and no issues with the job or employer. However, to explore more options, I would like to obtain an open work permit. Can I apply for an open work permit in this situation? Please advise. Thanks

I just moved from USA to Canada, driving via rainbow bridge. I did not show my title and other documents on the US side, but only on canada side. Is there something 72-hour export rule, which requires me to show the document on the USA side before driving to Canada side? I did not see any USA...

@priyanka1607 - Did you had Visitor visa prior ? or got it after applying for work permit ? And PR Express entry , does not need your work permit right , you can apply as long as you have LMIA or exemption right ?

@priyanka1607 - I even raised a ticket and again no response. i guess for applications processed in canadian centers it will take more than 2 months. By the way, did you apply from canada or moved to canada after applying the work permit?

@priyanka1607 - no updates, when I called 2 weeks back, they said it is with canadian processing center and it has not been taken for processing yet. Did you call them lately ?

From what I checked, you can import car and other things, and you will need to be either shipping by yourself or present at the time of goods crossing the border. For car, I m not sure how much to be paid, for other goods you will just pay around $100 for processing them.

@gunneri- I still have not received a decision on my application. This is my 6th week. I have a question, having both express entry and work permit submitted in parallel is fine ? have you had both or just work permit?

I have been trying to reach this number, getting response as "call cannot be completed, please check the number". I am calling from USA , so assume I can call as is. But not sure why it not going.
