I don't think so. A copy of marriage certificate is good enough. If the child is born in US, then yes - the birth certificate needs to be apostilled by secretary of state (where the child is born). Hope this helps.

YES, at the time of ID check, you can request administrator official whether you want paper certificates to be mailed or want e-certificates. For us, in person pick up was not available.

Myself and my spouse were able to download e-certificate yesterday by 4.30 pm. Received email from IRCC at 3.30 pm on July 6, 2023. Regarding my son, we were able to download this morning at 8 am. Hope this helps. Good luck!
