    May 2022 - Citizenship Applications

Just got oath scheduled for May 10 (LPP was updated 3 days ago). Just about 1 year on the dot from the application sent!

Interesting! I might reach out to them as well, since I have an almost identical timeline.

You can get a travel document at the embassy if you haven't got your PR card yet. But it is usually easier to find someone to mail your PR card to you if you decided to fly back after landing.

Mine is not NDVO, so I'm just wondering if poking LVOs helps, or it was just a coincidence and NDVO sent PPRs to all possible pending cases, not just those who emailed them.

Has anyone of you NDVO guys with the same timeline received PPR today without sending an email? Just wondering if it indeed helps or just a coincidence.

If you are referring to the "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." in your account, then yes, it is normal as the statuses in the account do not accurately reflect at what stage your application is.

Yes, VO is obviously Sydney. There is no use asking them imho, pretty sure they are aware of the application queue. We can only guess the reason for this queue, and we can't be sure with our guesses anyway.

No movement after ghost update. Ghost update likely means your case was approved. Calling cic is the best way to confirm that. I did raise a CSE and made a call. CSE reply was uninformative and just stated that everything is still in process, we will contact you when the decision is made...

Wanted to make sure my guess was correct, so I also called CIC today. And it was, the agent clarified that everything is finalized and only awaits final action. Sydney office, as you might imagine...

Unlikely. There is a clear indication that the PPR mail was generated, so this information would've been provided when raising CSE / calling / in the notes.

I didn't get any progress bar emails (neither the first one telling it is coming, nor the second telling it's already there), but the progress bar has appeared on my account (very useful, I found it very hard to count 6 months from AOR /s). Raised CSE, reply was pretty uninformative, saying that...

I'm most likely approved as well (ghost update and all) and didn't get the email.

There seems no way of explaining this as far as I see it. You either have a single 3-year program completed or two programs of 2 and 1 year, both of which will not give you enough points. I'm with the analyst on this one.

Sure. Be advised that you will need to declare the amount of more than 10k CAD cash in equivalent, also check your local rules about the amount of money you need to declare (and any transit countries if you will need to go through customs there)
