Thanks guys, I guess the question I have is do I need to have already been here for those 153 days out of the first 183 before I am eligible? Or can I apply before then and state that I will be here for that number of days during that period? And yes I intend on staying here for some time.

Hey guys, I recently landed as a PR and am wondering when I can apply for OHIP. I've heard of a 90 day wait or a 153 day wait. Do you have to be in Ontario for 153 days from the date of landing, or 153/183 days from the date your coverage starts? Cheers, Callum

I actually had my application updated today! 2 weeks from the date they received it.

I got my PPR 6 days short of 6 months. PPR arrived 6th Feb, I sent my docs on the 7th and it was signed for and received for on the 8th. Received confirmation of my CoPR today (22nd).

I got my PPR on 6th February and posted my documents to the London office on 7th February. Received an email confirming my CoPR today!

Yeah I was a little concerned about it and wondered why it took so long, but I received the request in December after applying in August. I received PPR within 6 months so it did not seem to indicate a delay in my application. Good luck.

Is this because you included a return envelope with a tracked return stamp on it?

Yes, I applied via CEC. My AOR was 12th August and I received PPR on 6th February, which was 6 days shy of my 6 month date.
